About PersonalityTest
Who builds PersonalityTest, how the original quizzes and type guides are made, and the editorial standards behind every page.
Last updated: 2026-10-15
PersonalityTest is an independent, free personality-test site. We publish original self-reflection quizzes, guides to the 16 four-letter personality patterns, and comparison tools — all running entirely in your browser, with no account and no data collection.
What we make
- A 32-question personality test measuring the four classic preference dimensions: extraversion–introversion, sensing–intuition, thinking–feeling, and judging–perceiving.
- An 8-question introvert–extrovert test that plots your answers on a flexible spectrum instead of forcing a binary label.
- An 8-question Type A/B behavior reflection, scored independently from the 16-type system.
- Original guides for six of the most-searched types (INFP, INTJ, ENTJ, ESFP, ISTJ, INTP), a filterable directory of all 16 patterns, and a two-type comparison tool covering all 256 ordered pairs.
Every quiz on this site uses questions written from scratch for PersonalityTest. We do not copy commercial question banks, illustrations, or result reports.
Editorial standards
The PersonalityTest Editorial Team writes and reviews every page. Our standing rules:
- Honest scope. These are informal self-reflection tools, not clinical instruments. We never claim scientific validation, accuracy percentages, or diagnostic power.
- Hedged language. Type patterns describe self-reported tendencies — "may", "often", "commonly reported" — never fixed traits, ability limits, or predictions.
- No fake precision. We publish no population percentages, rarity rankings, or compatibility scores, because reliable comparable data does not exist for these labels.
- Cited framework facts. Where we describe the Myers-Briggs framework or Type A/B history, we link the primary sources (The Myers-Briggs Company and the Myers & Briggs Foundation) rather than restating folklore.
Each article carries a byline and a published/updated date. When the question bank or scoring changes, we bump the model version and note it on the affected pages.
Trademarks and independence
PersonalityTest is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to The Myers-Briggs Company or the Myers & Briggs Foundation. "Myers-Briggs", "MBTI", and "MBTI®" appear on this site only to describe that well-known framework, in an informational, non-official context. For the licensed assessment, go to the official providers.
Privacy by design
Quiz answers are processed in your browser and never uploaded. There is no account system on the public site, no email gate between you and results, and no answer-level analytics of any kind. The optional draft feature stores progress only on your own device. See the Privacy Policy for details.
