Privacy Policy

How PersonalityTest handles quiz answers, local storage, analytics, and your privacy.

Dernière mise à jour: 2026-10-22

This Privacy Policy explains what information PersonalityTest ("we", "us") collects when you use our website and quizzes, and how that information is used. The site is an independent, unofficial self-reflection tool and is not affiliated with The Myers-Briggs Company.

Quiz answers stay on your device

Your answers to any quiz on this site (the 32-question personality test, the introvert–extrovert quiz, and the Type A reflection questions) are processed entirely in your browser. Answers are kept in memory while you complete a quiz and are not transmitted to our servers.

If you enable the optional "save draft" feature, your in-progress answers are stored in your browser's local storage so you can resume after a refresh. You can clear this at any time by retaking the quiz or clearing your browser data. Results pages are not stored on our servers and do not create a public profile.

Information we do not collect

We do not require an account, an email address, or any personal identifier to take a quiz or read any page on this site. We do not collect names, ages, or demographic data, and we do not sell personal information.

Analytics and measurement

We may use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to understand how pages and tools are used (for example, counting quiz starts and completions). These measurements are aggregate only: they never include your individual answers, per-question scores, or anything that identifies you.

Local storage and cookies

We use browser local storage for functional purposes only, such as remembering your theme (light or dark) and, if you opt in, your quiz draft. Cookies may be set by analytics or advertising providers as described in their own policies.

Browser extensions

Our Chrome and Firefox extensions (PersonalityTest – Free Personality Quiz) work differently from the website, and their data practices are separate.

The extension stores your in-progress quiz answers, the current question you are on, and your most recent results in the extension's local storage on your device (browser.storage.local). This is what lets you close the popup or browser and resume later. Drafts and results never leave your device: the extension contains no accounts, no server-side scoring, no analytics, and no advertising. You can remove everything at any time with "Clear saved quiz data" in the extension's settings, or by removing the extension.

The extension and the website are also separate storage spaces: a quiz draft saved on this site does not appear in the extension, and vice versa. When you choose to click a link such as "Read full guide", you leave the extension and arrive on this website — from that moment this Privacy Policy (including the analytics and third-party services sections above) applies to your visit, as it would for anyone arriving from a search engine. The extension never opens the website or transmits anything about you unless you click such a link yourself.

Third-party services

The site may load fonts, analytics, or advertising services operated by third parties. These providers may receive standard technical information (such as your IP address and browser type) as part of serving content. We do not share quiz answers or results with any third party.

Children's privacy

The site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
